Most people can recall nearly every teacher that they have ever had the pleasure or displeasure of learning from. Most people will have had dozens of teachers from grammar school all the way past high education. Teachers that are truly passionate about teaching are the pillars of society, family and futures. The future of each child or young adult that walks through the door of their classroom truly hangs on the teachers every word. It is because of this that teachers deserve far more money and respect.
Teachers are not there just to teach a specific subject or manner, they are also there to be your child’s confidant, friend and guardian. They have so many responsibilities and are not paid their worth. It is because of this that parents should spend time getting to know their children’s teachers and if they are one of those teachers that care about each student individually, it would be a great sentiment to send them gifts. They deserve it. They deserve to be paid much more as well, but the government only allots so much for the educational system. When the government or the state cuts the budget for education, teachers suffer greatly. Some teachers who have a dedicated teaching history could even be laid off. This is not acceptable and as parents we should save these childhood icons and heroes.
It is not possible for one parent alone to change the states dealings with the budget, but if enough families and teachers get together with one voice and shout, our voices may be heard. In order to ensure the future of our educational system and the future of our country, it is essential. Teachers are passionate about teaching, but there will be less and less teachers in the future because the benefits to make a decent living are simply not enough.
